Wow- what a first day! It was wonderful to see so many swimmers in the pool and the coaches and team reps are looking forward to a great season. Based on the overwhelming turnout, the coaches would like to make an adjustment to the schedule for Thursday, May 30.

Wednesday, May 29: (No change)

4:30-5:30p: Swimmers ages 8 & up

5:30-6:15p: Coaches Evaluations for ages 4-7 (Please sign-up if you haven’t already)

Thursday, May 30: NEW SCHEDULE!!!

4:30-5:30p: Swimmers ages 10 & up

5:30-6:15p: Coaches Evaluations for ages 4-7 (Please sign up if you haven’t already.)

6:15-7:00p: Swimmers ages 8 & 9

This will help the coaches learn the swimmers better and allow them the opportunity to place your child in the appropriate practice group. We will send an email update on Friday, May 31 with the finalized practice schedule and groups that we will use for afternoon practices until the end of the MCPS school year. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Ensuring swimmers are placed correctly provides kids with the best opportunity for success in a positive learning environment.

Important Note for Parents:

We recognize how exciting the first week is for everyone, but if you choose to stay for practice, please plan to observe from the main pool deck rather than the lap pool deck. It is important for the coaches and swimmers to build a relationship and parent interruptions cause a distraction for everyone.
