We are halfway through our first season as Poplar Run Penguins! Thank you to all our swimmers and families for making this season so successful! 

After our HOT weekend, please make sure your penguin is hydrating and resting for this week’s meets. This week, we plan to hold all practices following the same schedule as last week. 

Wednesday’s B Meet vs. Norbeck Grove:

• TONIGHT IS THE LAST CALL FOR WEDNESDAY RSVP! We need to know if your swimmer is swimming on Wednesday night, so please make sure you have RSVP'd via Swimtopia by 10pm TONIGHT! 
• Parents - Please sign up to volunteer at this Wednesday’s B Meet vs. Norbeck Grove via Swimtopia. We appreciate all you do and know that without our amazing parent volunteers, swim meets would not happen.
• Swimmers and families, please arrive at Norbeck Grove pool NO LATER THAN 5PM.
• Norbeck Grove Pool Address: 18309 Wickham Road, Olney, MD 20832.
• Parking is available in their pool parking lot. Norbeck Grove has a second lot that is a very short distance up Wickham Rd between the basketball courts and the playground. Please enter the pool through the large gate next to the clubhouse.
• The Penguin team area will be the left side of the grassy area at the far end of the pool and Norbeck Grove will be on the right side. Make sure you bring your chairs and own shade - canopies/tents are perfect!
• Parents - please help us with keeping all swimmers out of the baby pool & the zero depth area during the meet.
• For our Little Blues - we will have a kickboard event for our Little Blues. So, bring our Little Blues in their swimsuit & goggles so they can show off their amazing kicking power!
• Norbeck Grove will have concessions of burgers, hot dogs, drinks, and other snacks. So bring cash if you are hungry!
• Keep an eye and ear out for the weather - it looks like we might be getting some yucky weather! Please be flexible and aware - we will update as soon as we know more with the forecast!

Saturday’s Meet Location Update:

• We had a mix up with locations and dates. This Saturday’s Meet will be held HERE at our pool vs. Twinbrook. They have a non-conforming pool & will be “hosting” but at our pool.
• Parents - Please make sure you have RSVP’d if your swimmer is able / not able to swim on Saturday AND to volunteer!
• Pep Rally on Friday ~ THEME is NEON & GLOW! We will be setting up the pool area following the Pep Rally on Friday evening so please stay & help out!
• The Away meet vs. Tanglewood on Saturday, July 13 will be at Tanglewood Pool - 2922 Schubert Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20904. We have updated the Swimtopia site with these changes.
