2024 Season Wrap-Up
We hope this email finds all of our penguins enjoying the last bit of summer before school starts up again.
First, we want to send a huge THANK YOU to our Coaches, Coach Maya and Coach Jeremy. This season would not have been as successful if we did not have our amazing Head Coach Maya! We wish you luck as you embark on the next journey in life as an Elementary School Teacher in PG County, MD.
We wanted to share a few celebrations with all and wrap up the season.
- Congratulations Penguins! We ended the 2024 MCSL Season as the Division O - 3rd Place Team, earning a beautiful TROPHY that we received during the All Star Relay meet.
- During the 2024 All Star Relays, our Girls 14 and Under 175 Meter Freestyle Relay - Izzy, Reagan, Cata, and Tatiana - won 1st place with a time of 1:54.35 and our Girls 11-12 200 Meter Medley Relay - Reagan, Luciana, Zeza, and Abigail - won 3rd place with a time of 2:35.17. Our other relays were absolutely amazing - cutting time all around.
- During the 2024 All Star Individuals, our very own Penguins earned best times all around.
- Izzy won her Girls 13-14 50 Meter Butterfly race and came in 2nd in her Girls 13-14 50 Meter Freestyle race.
- Reagan came in 3rd in her Girls 11-12 50 Meter Backstroke race and 6th in Girls 11-12 50 Meter Freestyle race.
- Audrina came in 4th and earned a best time in her Girls 9-10 25 Meter Breaststroke race.
- Catalina earned best time & 8th place in her Girls 50 Meter Freestyle and 11th in her Girls 9-10 25 Meter Backstroke race.
Please join us on Thursday, August 15th at 6pm in the Poplar Run Clubhouse. We will be presenting the Poplar Run HOA Board with our trophy and thank you frame during the August HOA Board Meeting. Afterwards, the penguins can have a mid-August reunion and go splash in the pool.
If your penguin and family would like a picture with the team trophy, the trophy will be available for pictures at the Clubhouse.

The Poplar Run Aquatics board will be reviewing the data collected to ensure that we have an amazing 2025 Summer Swim Season.
