Reminder: Tomorrow is our First Dual Meet of the Season!

Tomorrow is our First Dual Meet of the season vs. the Kemp Mill Kangaroos & Parkland Whales at the Kemp Mill Pool, 11805 Stonington Place, Silver Spring, MD 20902.

Here are a few friendly reminders for tomorrow’s Meet:

  • Parents and swimmers should arrive no later than 8am and meet in the Team Area on the grass near the deep end of the pool.
  • The Meet will be held at the Kemp Mill Swim Club: Address ~ 11805 Stonington Place, Silver Spring, MD 20902.
  • Please attempt to park in the lot - BUT not past the orange cones - before parking on the grass and the street. The main entrance will be closed - please enter the pool using the steps off the fire lane.
  • The theme for this Swim Meet is Tropical Paradise! Come to the meet wearing your tropical gear if you want.
  • There is very little shade so please bring canopies, chairs, and whatever makes the meet comfortable for you & your swimmer(s).
  • Little Blues will have an opportunity to swim in a kickboard race during tomorrow's meet during Halftime. If your Little Blue would like to swim in this event, please have them arrive at Kemp Mill no later than 10am, in their swimming suits and googles, so that we can get them all ready for this fun race.
  • Your swimmer(s) should wear their swim meet suit - for girls, a one-piece suit with no zippers or other fastening devices & for boys, a jammer-like suit. Exemptions to the MCSL rules for swim suits will be granted only for religious beliefs, medical conditions, etc. Please see one of the team reps if this is the case.
  • What to bring for your Swimmer:
    • Goggles + Extra 2x Spare, Penguins Swim Cap + Extra Spare Cap, towel, something warm to wear in between events & after the meet, something to sit on, and a water bottle.
    • Healthy snacks - fruit, good carbs, and healthy proteins are perfect to bring to the meet. Kemp Mill will have concessions open as well - Cash is accepted :)
    • Not required but is nice to have is cards or something NON-ELECTRONIC to do in between events.
  • Parents = Please remind your swimmer to use their listening ears tomorrow morning. They need to keep an ear & eye out for the events they are swimming in. Remind them to keep track of their Swim Cap & Goggles and make sure they are ready to go for their events.
  • Please encourage your swimmer to stay in our Team area if not swimmer and/or cheering on their teammates.
