End of Season Wrap-Up & Looking Ahead to 2026
We hope this email finds all of our penguins enjoying the last bit of summer before school starts up again.
First, we want to send a huge THANK YOU to our Coaches, Coach Jeremy, Coach James, & Coach Ava. And a huge thank-you to all our Parent Volunteers. This team would not be the success that it is without our amazing parent volunteers!!!
We wanted to share a few celebrations with all and wrap up the season.
- Congratulations Penguins! We ended the 2025 MCSL Season as the Division O Champs, earning a beautiful TROPHY that we received during the All Star Relay meet.
- During the 2025 All Star Relays, our Girls 14 and Under 175 Meter Freestyle Relay - Izzy, Abagail, Cata, and Tatiana - won 1st place with a time of 1:50.47 and our Girls 14 & Under 100Meter Medley Relay - Cata, Audrina, Izzy, and Tatiana - won 1st place with a time of 1:08.77. Our other 8 relays were absolutely amazing - cutting time all around.
- During the 2025 All Star Individuals, our very own Penguins earned best times all around.
- Nico came in 14th in his Boys 12 & Under 100M IM race.
- Catalina won the Girls 9-10 50 Meter Freestyle and came in 2nd in the Girls 9-10 25 Meter Backstroke race.
- Reagan came in 10th in the Girls 13-14 50 Meter Backstroke race.
- Audrina came in 12th in the Girls 11-12 50 Meter Breaststroke race.
- Izzy came in 3rd for both her races - Girls 13-14 50 Meter Butterfly and Girls 13-14 50 Meter Freestyle.
Please join us at the September HOA Board Meeting at the Poplar Run Clubhouse. We will be presenting the Poplar Run HOA Board with our Division O Champs trophy during the September HOA Board Meeting. If your penguin and family would like a picture with the team trophy, the trophy will be available for pictures at the Clubhouse.

The Poplar Run Penguins Swim Team Committee will be reviewing the data collected to ensure that we have an amazing 2026 Summer Swim Season. Big thank you to ALL our parent volunteers this season! We could not have a swim team without all the support!!!

The Poplar Run Penguins Swim Team Committee is looking for some super Penguin Parents to join our Swim Team Committee. We are in search of parents who love the Penguins as much as we do and would like to be a part of the team that brings our Team to N Division and beyond. We are planning our first Committee Meeting in preparation for the 2026 Season to be held in September at the Clubhouse.

Attached is also our Tentative 2026 Swim Calendar.
The 2026 Practice Schedule is still tentative. But we can tell you that Morning Practices will be the main practice times due to the summer weather and the full lap pool access that the team has in the mornings. Afternoon Practices are intended for make-ups for those who can not make it to the mornings and additional stroke work with the coaches.
