Congrats on an AMAZING first Dual Meet today - the Poplar Run Penguins won big versus the Diamond Farm Stingrays with a score of 483.5 to their 279.5! Big shout out to all the Parent Volunteers who made today’s meet a success! And a special shout-out to our swim-up swimmers, Abigail D. and Thomas B. for stepping up to help the team & ROCKING IT! School is almost out for the summer! Morning practices will begin the following week on Monday, 6/22- please make every effort to attend these practices! The practice schedule beginning June 22nd is:

Monday - Thursday Mornings

• Emperor & Macaroni: 7-8am
• Rockhoppers: 8-9am

Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday Afternoons (Wednesdays will be meets starting on June 24th)

• Emperor: 4:30-5:20pm
• Macaroni: 5:25 - 6:15pm
• Rockhoppers: 6:20 - 7pm

Below are a few reminders and updates for our Penguin families:

• Ensure your swimmer brings their swim cap, goggles, water bottle, and kick board if they have one to every practice.
• Your swimmer should use the bathroom BEFORE practice starts!
• Remind your swimmer to listen to the coaches and pay attention during practices.
• Don’t forget to RSVP if your swimmer will be swimming via Swimtopia for this week’s Dual Meet on Saturday, June 21st at Clarksburg Town Center & DON’T FORGET TO VOLUNTEER!

This Friday’s Fun Practice & Pep Rally ~

Friday Fun Practice will be held from 5-6pm, followed by our weekly Pep Rally Potluck, beginning at 6pm on the Pool Deck! Pep Rally #2 is Pasta Power Night! Sign up to be a part of the Pep Rally Team for next week via this link- Potluck Sign-Up. Pick at least one Pep Rally of the Season & Contribute!

This upcoming weekend is our second Dual meet & our First AWAY meet at Clarksburg Town Center!

Our coaches are in the process of determining our meet event line-up so PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU RSVP no later than Wednesday, June 17th via Swimtopia - especially if your swimmer will NOT be available for this meet! Start planning now - we need all our Penguins to be at the Clarksburg Town Center Pool NO LATER THAN 7:45am on Saturday, June 20th. The pool address is 12901 Sugarload Chapel Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871. It’s about a 30 minute drive with no traffic.

Next Wednesday June 24th will be our First B Meet vs. Norbeck Grove at home. During this meet, we invite our Little Blues to join us with a Kick-Board race during the Halftime Break! More details to come next weekend!
