BIG WEEKEND OF VICTORY FOR THE PENGUINS!

Absolutely amazing weekend of meets and big victories for the Poplar Run Penguins! Saturday started us off with a victory over Norbeck Hills, continuing our undefeated trek through the land of Division N. Then on Sunday, we went to the Zoo known as Relay Carnival and won 1st Place overall and had 13 relays win their races - 10 of those secured a spot at All Star Relays at the end of July. (See more details below) This week will be a bit easier with only a Dual Meet on Wednesday evening, followed by a much needed respite over Fourth of July weekend.

Friendly Reminders to Parents:

  • PLEASE don’t forget to RSVP in SwimTopia for ALL OF OUR MEETS! If we don’t know that your swimmer is attending, our coaches are unable to put them into our meet entries and they won’t be able to swim during the meets.
  • We are cancelling the Pep Rally on Friday July 3rd. Thank you to all who volunteered already! We will definitely be revived for the Friday, July 10th Fiesta Night, which has already been filled by our amazing families! Thank you!
  • This week due to the A Meet on Wednesday and the Fourth of July Weekend, practice this week will be as follows for the Emperor, Macaroni, and Rockhoppers:

  • Meet lineups will be available in SwimTopia on Tuesday. Please note: Availability does not guarantee every swimmer will be swimming on Sunday due to our large team size, various skill levels. We do have many opportunities for our swimmers to show their skills; our next meet is on Wednesday vs. Ashton!
